Kestrel Metrics
A calm workspace for complex operational data.

The challenge
A fictional analytics team needed an interface that helped operators distinguish an urgent exception from normal variation. Dense tables and competing charts were making every signal appear equally important.
Our approach
We grouped information around the decisions an operator makes during a shift. A compact overview leads to a focused exception queue, with source context available beside each item.
A practical outcome
The prototype gives every alert an owner, a reason and an explicit next step. A shared component library keeps the overview, detail and review states consistent as new metrics are introduced.
The content model separates metric definitions, exception records and review notes so each can be maintained by the person responsible for it.
Process highlights
- Agree the audience, the problem and the scope before choosing a visual direction.
- Test the structure with complete content and the important interaction states.
- Review the production result at desktop, tablet and phone sizes.
- Deliver an editable system with a documented next step.
